Twitter is becoming more and more an important part of the mobile phone experience. At the moment there aren’t many twitter apps available for the N900. However, I found Hahlo to be very useful. Actually Hahlo isn’t a application you have to install but just a web application. Just point your Nokia N900 to Hahlo.com, sign in with your twitter name and enjoy the service. Hahlo offers you access to your direct messages, shows inline replies, mentions, shows pictures and much more. Furthermore you have a big variety of options to customize Hahlo. The Nokia N900 is with its super sharp WVGA 3.5” touch screen and the 32GB built in storage a perfect video player. Without any further decoders it supports 3GPP formats (H.263), AVI, Flash Video, H.264/AVC, MPEG-4 and WMV. This already is quite a bit. Nonetheless some of you might miss a few formats. If so, you can go to the extras-testing catalogue and download Decoders Support. This application brings support for additional video and audio decoders:
- MKV support
- FLV support
- MPEG2 Transport Stream support
- AC-3 audio in video files support
In case you don’t have the extras-testing catalougue to download application:
Application manager –> Application catalogs –> New
Catalog name: maemo.org extras-testing
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

One of my favorite features of the Nokia N900 is the TV-Out function. With the video-out cable, which came with the N900, you can connect the N900 to a TV-Set or a projector which will mirror the N900. This is really useful for sharing pictures and videos with your family and friends. In the following video I’ll not only show the TV-Out function but also give you a demonstration of the new UI.

However, after a few years with Symbian I need to get used to Maemo and the N900. As for now I have a unboxing video for. Expect further content in the next days, weeks and months.
